Window, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Day 1

Ok, so there is a lot to cover today. KiDahn and I spent about an hour and a half going through all the things they did in detail so grab a cup of coffee and enjoy!

They did not get shingles done today, which I was disappointed with. However they made up for it with several other things which they did get done. For starters they got most of our windows installed:

And here is one more from inside the sunroom:

They also installed some exterior doors:

However as I'm sure you have noticed they did not install our sliding glass door as well as two windows upstairs. That is because all three of these were delivered wrong. We are not sure yet how long it will take to get the right ones. Hopefully not too long.

In addition to all of that they installed the drain tile in the basement as well as the bathroom rough in:

And they did a ton of plumbing work throughout the house:
Here are the rough ins for the laundry room and on the other side of the wall is the master bathroom. You can also see a gas line for a dryer, but we will also have a 220 outlet for electric.

Rough in for the laundry room wash tub.

Laundry room.

Upstairs shower.

Rough in toilet and sink for upstairs bathroom.

They built the shower pan and put in the liner for the master shower.

Rough ins for the double vanity in the master.

Here you can see the main trunk of hot and cold lines that come up from the PEX system in the basement and go to their various location.

I tried to take a panorama of how all this ties into the the upstairs but it didn't work very well.
Our general contractor also went through the house in detail for the first time and updated punch lists and also marked up issues that need to be fixed. In addition he marked the location of electrical components such as outlets, and switches and where they should go.

And that is it for the day. Not bad. Tomorrow's weather is looking pretty good so hopefully the roofers will get out there and get some shingles up. It will probably rain on Friday so if this gets done then the other crews can continue to work inside. They also delivered a truck load of sand and gravel which will go in the basement and garage floor to prep for concrete. I don't expect they will do anything with this until next week, but at least it has been delivered.
