Framing Day 12

The weather was nice to us today and held back on the rain. But the construction site is a muddy mess from all the rain yesterday.

They were able to finish all of the main portion of the roof today as well as get the trusses up for the sunroom. Check out some pictures below:

A view of them working earlier today. I thought it was interesting that they built a temporary work bench on the roof. Smart idea, it's like these guys have done this before or something.

In addition to all of that they did some work on the bench seat in the spare bedroom:

And they cleaned up a few imperfections in the archways and put in the blocking in the kitchen so the cabinets have something to attach to:

And on top of all that, our windows and doors were delivered today:

I don't think they will be working over the weekend because it may rain. In addition to that, Monday is a holiday. So unfortunately we probably won't see more progress until Tuesday.....and to make matters worse it looks like it may rain on Tuesday and Wednesday....I guess the fast pace has to slow down every once and a while though.

All that aside I think they can finish framing with one, maybe two more days. If we get lucky with weather we will see them finish this, and get our windows and doors in as well as put up shingles before the end of next week.
