We were hoping to see the wood pack delivered today but that obviously didn't happen. Hopefully tomorrow. They did, however, deliver several pallets, which you can see sitting in front of my car in the last picture. These will be laid out to make a temporary sidewalk to the house. They usually do this right before framing because there will be a lot of traffic around the house and it gets muddy quick. Speaking of mud, it is supposed to be a rainy weekend, and Monday and Tuesday are not looking much better, so we may see some delays coming up.

It's hard to believe that a hole in the ground surrounded by brick work will eventually be a home and a garage, isn't it? Pretty soon there will be a house, kids, a back yard and a whole new landscape. From an empty vacant lot to a haven for a family, and that's how it begins.
