Brick Day 13

Nothing happened inside the house today. We aren't really sure what the hold up is. It may be because there are some carpentry issue that need to be resolved, like the low spots in the arch, before they want to start sanding the mud on the drywall. But the brick work outside continues. Today he worked on the wall around the living room:

Also today they dug the hole for the lot next to us:

No one has actually bought this home yet. They are building what is called a spec home. This means they make a lot of the choices about the house and then advertise it. The people that buy it get to pick a few options, but really only the aesthetics, nothing structural. The advantage to the buyer is that they get to move into the house a little more quickly because they don't go through all the waiting to start building.

Weather is still looking ok at this point. I think our guy should be able to finish the brick in the next two days. At least by the end of the week.
